We are changing things up a little bit for SL 2018 and bringing on co-hosts! This week’s featured host is Kathy from Kathy’s Kwilts & More. I LOVE looking through quilts that are put together, and always have to hold myself back from starting another project before the ones I have in front of me are finished. So it’s a treat to have Kathy in my feed for some quilty-inspiration.
Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Feeling, Dancing, Praising.
Feeling. Good about my new job title. I’ve officially accepted a position at my old office and am the new HR/Office Coordinator for the A/E firm that my father-in-law started three decades ago. I originally only agreed to giving them 90 days to help with the transition they’re going through, but I actually have enjoyed my time back in an office. I never thought I would find myself back in an 8-5 traditional type role. But so much of my drive comes from my love of a good challenge…and I’ve certainly been challenged. I feel like I’ve only skimmed the surface of what’s to come for my new role and I’m looking forward to being able to put my “Katy twist” on the office life with my co-workers.
Dancing. My booty off with this little cutie pie. Oh my gosh, I wish you guys could experience just one dance party in the McKinley household. It’s never planned. We just somehow end up turning on a song and then another and another until everyone is out of breath from dancing so hard. I love watching Louis develop his own little talent. I just really need to figure out how to take that and help him grow from it. He’s seriously so good!
Praising. The creative energy that just flows through our house. I love that all three of us live for projects. Even if some of them don’t last long, or never get completed. But it’s so much fun to live in a household that is full of inspiration and excitement. All the time. I joke that it’s why we never have a clean house…but it’s true. We would rather be focusing our energy on making new creative messes than actually cleaning any of our old ones up. Sometimes those spurts of inspiration have turned into creative careers for us. And sometimes they fizzle as quickly as they appear. But it’s always a treat to see what we will come up with next. Especially if it’s Perler bead versions of XMen.
