We are changing things up a little bit for SL 2018 and bringing on co-hosts!  This week’s featured host is Melissa from Mahlica Designs.  Girlfriend is a blog tour and pattern review machine!  She has got to have one fabulous closet full of handmade clothes at this point!

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Practicing, Finalizing, Upgrading.

Practicing. My cool, calm and collected version of myself.  Which isn’t easy.  Because Louis had a talent show at his school on Thursday and I was holding in my Stage Mom persona the best I could.  We are crazy proud of our kiddo, since he chose to get up on stage (at age seven, you guys!) and dance all by himself, in his own unique way.  Louis is a fantastic dancer.  He has rhythm that cannot be taught…he just feels the music and moves to it.  You could play the same song ten times to him and get ten different dances out of him.  It’s fantastic.  And to have him to it on stage, in front of a couple hundred people and his peers…….omg.  My heart was bursting out of my chest.

Finalizing. My promise to myself to clean up my sewing space.  It is a DISASTER.  It’s been a disaster since November and I just haven’t had the time (or energy) to clean it up.  Yesterday, I finally forced myself to fold all of my fabrics again.  Pulling them off of the shelf and refolding everything really puts into perspective how much fabric I really own.  I still have a HUGE stack to get to, and somehow I still never feel like I have the fabric that I want for a certain project.  Haha.  Go figure.

Upgrading. My weekly work wardrobe to something with a little more flash this past week.  BECAUSE VALENTINE’S DAY.  If I don’t get to dress in theme, then what is this all for?  I made this henley last year during the Sew, What Do I Wear Valentine’s Tour and was happy to be able to wear it again.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
