Fabric for Pirates :: February 2022 Reveal

Feb 15, 2022

AHHHHH!  I’m so excited that we get to share the February Fabric for Pirates today!  Judy and I knew we absolutely wanted to send this fabric base out at some point, we just hadn’t nailed down when to do it and which colorway to choose….and I’m thinking we chose perfectly.  Because it’s spectacular and I’m borderline obsessed with it!

I feel like my style is starting to drift a little bit more toward solid prints these days — but really only if the fabric has a texture to it.  Just plain ole fabric is still not in my wheelhouse, but I’ve been really finding myself purchasing more ribbed knits and things that are plain but interesting.  This fabric hits the nail right on the head for what I’m after.

It was hella cold and snowing outside but I couldn’t resist getting photos in all of the crisp whiteness.  I thought it was a great contrast to the gorgeous mauve color that we selected.  I mean, it’s February after all, so we felt it would be a sweet little nod to Valentine’s Day, without being obnoxiously themed.  It’s kinda like the alpaca sweater knit we sent out last February.  Cozy fabric in soft colors is perfect for this time of year, don’t you think?

Here are the fabric details:

Embossed Sweater Knit (Poly Broadcloth)
GSM: 280.00 Material: 99% POLYESTER, 1% SPANDEX

I will admit that I get mildly stressed out trying to figure out what to sew up to share with the subscribers as inspiration.  I always want something fun and different and exciting.  But honestly — I mostly only ever want to sew up my favorite basics.  Which is why I made myself a Favorite Tee.  And I’m so glad I allowed myself to do this too — because I’ve worn this new sweater of mine three or four times now since it came off of the sewing machine.  Basics are the best, aren’t they?

And in case you didn’t know enough about the Fabric for Pirates subscription yet — here you go:

Sign up! Receive! Sew!  We all love fabric, sewing and color… our goal is to deliver some amazing fabrics to you — of which you can turn around and make some amazing things for yourself, your loved ones, or your shop. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
