IT’S FABRIC FOR PIRATES REVEAL DAY!!! As per my usual, I’m jazzed to be able to share what we sent out in our beloved monthly fabric subscription for this past month.  It’s always hard to hold onto these surprises because I’m always super excited about what I’ve made and what we sent and I want to share share share, haha.

So here we go!  This month we sent out a new fabric base: Cozy Fleece!

Just like the fleece you think of when you head to the store to make a cozy blanket, the fabric is soft and has a brushed front to it.  However, this fleece is only brushed on one side, is a much lighter weight, has a gorgeous drape, and is much more applicable for apparel sewing.

I made myself a sweater using the Flutter Wrap pattern — minus all things flutter and wrap.  Go figure.

Really the only adjustments I made to the pattern was to omit the ties and sew up the side seams.  I sometimes find wrap tops and dresses fussy to wear (though I love how they look!) so I though I’d like it better just as a cross-over top.  I was right!  Because I love it!
