Fabric for Pirates :: July 2024 Reveal

Jul 15, 2024

Happy (Freaking) Reveal Day, y’all! I cannot even begin to explain how hard it was for me to keep this month’s Fabric for Pirates shipment under wraps. It’s so stinking gorgeous and colorful and all the things and I’m PUMPED that we get to share it with everyone today!

Okay but seriously. How glorious is this fabric? An abstract tie dye in neons? I DIE. It’s everything I could ask for in a summer fabric.

Not to mention that it’s in one of my very favorite summer bases: DTY. I’m sure I’ve talked about it a few times now, but DTY stands for Drawn Textured Yarn.

The yarns are heat-treated and twisted to create a soft and chic fabric that has a great stretch to it. This fabric type often comes in a large variety of colors and patterns. It’s moveable, breathable, wears well, and lasts a long time. Plus it’s perfect for the hot months ahead of us!

Fabric Details:
DTY (Drawn Textured Yarn)
Width: 58/60″ GSM: 180.00
Material: 96% Polyester, 4% Spandex

Pattern Details:
Dahle Daydream Dress by Patterns for Pirates
Flutter Sleeves, Knee Length skirt w/Ruffle

It’s so funny that I made this with the Dahle pattern. I really didn’t mean to…I just needed to sew something up with it, and it has a great front + back to it, so it’s fantastic to use for tutorial photos. So I whipped one up and then was like….crap. I can’t share this as one of my tester images, haha. Terrible planning on my part. But amazing choice nonetheless because it’s currently one of my favorite dresses in my closet!

And I didn’t have to wait too, too long after the release of the Dahle. So all is well. Calm down, Katy.
