Walk the Plank PJ Bottoms by Patterns for Pirates
We’ve spent all summer sewing and putting out woven fabric patterns over at Patterns for Pirates, and today is the final day of our “P4P Summer of Wovens”! Woot! We are celebrating the end of the woven sewing season with a FREE pattern for you guys, and one that will work for the entire family.

Quality People Never Fear Equality | FREE Cut File!
Whenever something big happens and I start to feel super sad / down / helpless, it always helps me to create something that has a positive message to it. It might sound silly, but forcing myself to find a positive message during a less-than-positive time makes me a little more hopeful. I wish I didn’t ever feel the need to make these things. But here we are again.
It’s a Vintage Lace Christmas!
My friends over at Vintage Lace are running a Holiday/Winter round of fabulous fabrics and they sent me a few to play with. Bonus on this round for me was that I actually designed one of the prints (offered in two colorways) that is available in this round. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing more fun than sewing something that you’ve made yourself!!
Sew Americana 2017
I am SO EXCITED that today is finally here, because it’s the official kickoff of the Sew Americana Blog Tour! We had so much fun sewing up red, white, and blue inspired things last year, that I decided to make this tour a regular, yearly thing. Welcome to the first day of 2017’s tour!
We’ve got five bloggers sharing their amazing talent each day. You will not be disappointed if you head to each of their sites. (And don’t forget to linkup your own Americana sewing project at the bottom of the post. Instagram photos can be linked as well!)
Earth Tones
I’m back for my third share of the Bellisima Mundo fabrics from RP Custom Fabrics. Sara hooked me up with SO MANY strike offs and I couldn’t help but sew and share them all. Plus it gives me an excuse to take photos of and with my two handsome guys…so you’ll never find me complaining.
Bennett’s “Mapa” Henley
Every once in a while, I make special effort to sew for Bennett. The poor guy just doesn’t get as much love as Louis and me when it comes to sewing. Most of the reason is that he’s SO DAMN PICKY about fabrics. However, the latest Bellisima Mundo round from RP Custom Fabrics has allowed me to spoil that cute bearded husband of mine with some new garb.
Yay for customs groups who create things men will wear too!
