I’m excited to share that I’ve been able to update another pattern for y’all! The Little Wanderer skirt is the youth version of my beloved Wanderer Skirt pattern (which is also free). It’s an adorable high/low half circle skirt with two hem lengths and optional pockets.
It’s an incredibly quick sew and super duper cute!
On the surface, there weren’t really any major changes. Here’s what’s new:
- Side seams / seam allowances trued up.
- Tutorial adjusted for a cleaner look + more helpful info.
Let’s talk a little more about The Wanderer Skirt patterns! Did you know that the adult version was the first ::officially official:: sewing pattern that I ever did by myself? What a rush! I created it for a Cricut Sewing post, showing how I made my fabric with some fun gold polka dots. Goodness does that feel like a lifetime ago!
This beginner knit pattern is a fun take on a classic half-circle skirt. The silhouette is adorable on all sizes! AND (are you ready for this??) THERE ARE OPTIONAL POCKETS!! Whoop whoop!
The pattern is FREE and fits youth sizes 2 – 14.
The skirt features a tea-length back, which meets at the side seams where you can choose from two front hem lengths:
- Sweet (hits around knee height)
- Sassy (hits mid-thigh)
With this download, you will receive an easy-to-print, color coded pattern with a NO TRIM page feature. You will also be able to turn on/off layers so you can print only the size you need. The files include four print formats: Letter, A4, A0 (printshop), and Projector formats PLUS a full-color, step-by-step tutorial file.
I hope you love it! Remember to tag #wildandwanderfulblog / @wildandwanderfulblog when you make something from this pattern, so I can see your brilliant work!
Here are some amazing sewists that created The Little Wanderer skirt and shared their photos with me! Aren’t they adorable?
