It’s a Vintage Lace Christmas!

It’s a Vintage Lace Christmas!

My friends over at Vintage Lace are running a Holiday/Winter round of fabulous fabrics and they sent me a few to play with.  Bonus on this round for me was that I actually designed one of the prints (offered in two colorways) that is available in this round.  I’m pretty sure there’s nothing more fun than sewing something that you’ve made yourself!!

Mama Nina by Made for Mermaids

Mama Nina by Made for Mermaids

Woohoo!  Another pattern release from Made for Mermaids just launched yesterday and it’s a good one.  This cutie is called “Mama Nina” and she’s a raglan high-low swing style dress that will make you swoon.  For real.

“Sierra” from Pretty Posh Prints

“Sierra” from Pretty Posh Prints

Not going to lie, every time I see one of my friends post something that they’ve made with Pretty Posh Prints fabrics, I get super jealous.  Brenda seems to have all of the pretty fabrics!  So when she asked if I’d want to help her promo her “Sierra” double brushed poly for the Fast Finger Sale that’s happening over there tonight….I didn’t hesitate.

Summer Cocktail + Wanderer Skirt

Summer Cocktail + Wanderer Skirt

When we received the schedule for the Cricut Conference, it said that the first night would involve a cocktail party.  SHIT.  Cocktail party?  I don’t have any cocktail dresses in my closet…because I have this issue of making a dress and only wanting to wear it once, and then giving it away or selling it.

Empty closet.  Fabric that I’ve been dying to sew into something.  And a short schedule before I had to leave for Salt Lake City.  I decided not to go as formal cocktail as I normally would, and went with more summer vibes.  I AM OBSESSED.

Mama Tara by Made for Mermaids

Mama Tara by Made for Mermaids

Thursday was a new release day for Made for Mermaids….and I’m just a little bit behind on the party.  But I still want to share with you about Mama Tara. The pattern is still totally on sale thru Sunday, July 30, so I’m not late.  I’m just coming in as a backup reminder!

I totally planned it out like that…………..

July BeeBox | Vinegar + Honey Co.

July BeeBox | Vinegar + Honey Co.

Sharing my BeeBox make every month is becoming one of my favorite things!  Surprise fabric mail is so fun and the challenge of making something with them is so good for my creative spirit.  I also adore the little cards that are sent in each box.  I feel like Allison and Lauren are my bffs when I read them, and that they’ve put so much thought into what they’ve sent each of us BeeBoxers.

Customizing Fabric with Cricut (and a FREE skirt pattern!)

Customizing Fabric with Cricut (and a FREE skirt pattern!)

One of the coolest blogging experiences to-date was when I was contacted about this Cricut blog tour.  They wanted to get a bunch of us sewing bloggers together to see what we could come up with for projects that involved their iron-on products.

Considering that my whole business is built from the iron-on and HTV world, I couldn’t say no to this opportunity.  And really I couldn’t say no in general, because it sounded so fun!  I was officially counted in!

Everyday Elegance (UPDATE) by Patterns for Pirates

Everyday Elegance (UPDATE) by Patterns for Pirates

After a few more website issues than we’d anticipated, we are officially re-releasing the Everyday Elegance, which is one of the earlier Patterns for Pirates designs out there.  AND, it’s the first official release for our “Summer of Wovens”!!

West Virginia Mermaid

West Virginia Mermaid

It’s been swim sewing season around here and I’ve been insanely jealous of all of my friends who’ve been taking these gorgeous images at the beaches and pools near them.  Like super jealous.  Since Vintage Lace sent me a new swim print to sew, I figured it was my turn to take some water photos.

But West Virginia style.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

I know, I know.  It’s barely July and I’m wearing and sewing pumpkin clothes.  But hear me out!!

First.  Pumpkin flavored things should exist year round.  Because it’s delicious.  Second.  It’s hot as hades outside and the humidity is on threat level suck.  So all I want is fall to happen for me.  Third. This fabric is ah-dorable and needs to be shared, wether you’re ready for the change in season yet or not.

Sew Americana :: Day 5

Sew Americana :: Day 5

It’s the final day of our Sew Americana Blog tour, friends.  Holy butts this week has flown by!  I hope you all have enjoyed it as much as I did!  Blog tours can be a lot, and usually there’s some sort of reward or giveaway or whatever….but I chose not to do one with this tour.  And these ladies still bring their best work!  It’s pretty cool, if you think about it.

They just slay, what can I say?
